Farewell Faafetai
Football Tournament
Unfortunately last Thursday we were knocked out of the Football tournament by Room 8. Well done to them though because they went on to win the whole competition. The tournament was really positive for our class. The whole class gave it all whether they were training, playing, or supporting the team and syndicate. What a great class spirit we have!

Yemen leader burned by Tain
President Ali Abdullah Saleh was burned over 40 percent of his body and suffered bleeding in the brain from an attack on his palace , U.S. officials said Tuesday, indicating his wounds were worse than initially reported. The revelation casts doubts on a quick return to Yemen and spells a deepening power vacuum.
In the wake of Saleh's evacuation to Saudi Arabia for treatment, Yemen's violence escalated, with government troops battling Islamic militants and opposition tribesmen in two southern cities on Tuesday. The military said it killed 30 militants who were among a group that took over the city of Zinjibar last week amid the country's turmoil.

Learning Chinese in Room 6 - Mr Reid
For the last three weeks I have been introducing Mandarin Chinese into our classroom. We have been learning how to say 'hello, how are you?', 'thank you', and count from 1-10. The important part of this that has been introduced this week is the tones. The students goal for the next week is to say 'hello' and 'thank you' at school.
See this website for an explanation of the tones
