Japan earthquake
On Friday 11th March 2011 there was a huge earthquake in Japan which then caused a tsunami killing lots of people. These events have also caused damage to the nuclear power plants in the area, which is very frightning and dangerous for everyone in Japan.

Learning Chinese in Room 6 - Mr Reid
For the last three weeks I have been introducing Mandarin Chinese into our classroom. We have been learning how to say 'hello, how are you?', 'thank you', and count from 1-10. The important part of this that has been introduced this week is the tones. The students goal for the next week is to say 'hello' and 'thank you' at school.
See this website for an explanation of the tones
